Saturn Flyer works with companies to cultivate more effective, happier developers who make better decisions and write better code. The company was founded by Jim Gay, a continual student, who loves to help Ruby developers become better.

Jim is the author of Clean Ruby and the Ruby DSL handbook. He is the creator of gems like Surrounded, Casting and maintainer of Radiant CMS. He has been a co-host of the Ruby 5 podcast and is a co-founder of Arlington Ruby. Jim has spoken at numerous conferences including RubyConf, Ruby Kaigi and Ruby Nation.

Jim has served as an instructor for Sandi Metz's popular Practical Object-Oriented Design course where he helped students understand the steps necessary for practicing TDD, handling refactoring and approaches like Single Responsibility Principle, Liskov Substitution Principle, and more.

He has been programming in Ruby since 2006 and has been programming for 17 years.
